Solar Frontier's Mission

Solar Frontier's mission is the same as its customer value proposition:

to create the most economical, ecological 
solar energy solutions on Earth.

It is derived from our understanding of our customers' needs and what we do best to meet those needs. 

It is clear that our customers' top priority is all about economics: "What solar energy solution will deliver the most affordable energy given my needs and conditions?" Numerous factors are key to the answer, and these factors vary from customer to customer, but at the heart of every solution are the panels. That is where Solar Frontier has focused most of its expertise and all of its manufacturing power because we know that a panel's performance is based not just on conversion efficiency and price, but  also on stability, durability, temperature coefficient, degradation, BOS integration, and more. Panels must perform at a certain level for decades, and many factors combine to affect the economics of a panel's performance--and the way a panel performs in a complete power system. Solar Frontier's gigawatt-scale factory in Miyazaki is the result of our commitment to extend the tremendous advantages our proprietary CIS technology has in the range of factors that determine panel economics. 

After economics, ecology is the fastest rising customer priority, as the world recognizes the urgency of numerous environmental crises. Here also we stand at the frontier, with a product free of cadmium and lead (under RoHS) and requiring less energy and materials to produce than today's standard crystalline panels. Lower energy requirements will help to lower costs as well.
